Minor Hotels continue rapid growth

Minor Hotels Group has announced three new additions to its growing stable of hotels and resorts, and the good news is at least one is close to home.

AVANI Broadbeach Residences, scheduled to open in 2017, will be built in the heart of the Gold Coast in preparation for the XXI Commonwealth Games in 2018.

The $150 million luxury development will feature 219 rooms, a tropical landscaped podium terrace, resident’s lounge, meeting space, and al fresco bar and restaurant.

Located directly opposite Jupiters Casino and the Pacific Fair Shopping Centre, with easy access to the new light rail transport system, AVANI Broadbeach Residences will be within easy reach of all of the Commonwealth Games venues.

In Thailand, Minor have just announced the opening of The Residence by Anantara, a collection of 15 exclusive pool residences set on a hill overlooking their Anantara Phuket Layan Resort.

The new luxury apartments offer complete privacy, on-call butler service, media entertainment and spa rooms, and enormous 21-metre infinity pools, all with sensational views.

The residences have been added to the room portfolio of Anantara Layan for bookings by families or groups, and are also offered for both freehold and long leasehold ownership.

Taking things to Africa, there will be yet another new addition to the brand in March 2016.

Loisaba Tented Camp, set in a 56,000-acre wildlife sanctuary in Kenya, will be a new luxury property offering tented suites and spectacular views across the Laikipia Plains.

Loisaba is the single largest conservation in East Africa in 2014/2015, and is a strong advocate for responsible tourism and long-term conservation.

The vast wildlife sanctuary is a haven for over 700 elephants and provides a critical resource for the conservation of Africa’s elephant population.
