Travel guides for short attention spans

It’s no secret that people these days have short attention spans. Social media has… oh look, a blue car. Realising they have a limited time frame to catch our attention, Hotel Jen – the newest in the Shangri-La Hotels family – has released a video series that showcases 24 hours in just 24 seconds.

Hotel Jen calls them the world’s fastest city guides. Current cities are Singapore, Penang, Beijing, Brisbane, Manila and Hong Kong.

Each 24-second video tells a story and captures the most exciting locations, and a dedicated microsite for the campaign offers insights and itineraries for those who want to dig a little deeper.

Watch the video guide for Singapore below:

Marisa Aranha, Vice President of Sales & Marketing at Hotel Jen, says the guides are ideal for the time deprived and attention-challenged.

“The guides provide a fast-paced and unusually real take on one-of-a-kind activities that appeal to travellers tired of stock shots and off-the-shelf recommendations,” she says.

“We have captured 24 hours of exciting city experiences in a 24-second video through the ears and eyes of ‘Jen’. These cities are more than just spaces. They’re living, breathing and changing worlds, each with their own story to tell.”
