After an extensive two-year restoration, Sydney’s newest luxury hotel – Primus Hotel Sydney – has thrown its Art Deco doors open to the public.
Occupying the former Sydney Water Board headquarters on Pitt Street, which is by far one of the most beautiful Art Deco buildings in Sydney, the Primus Hotel has brought a bit of 1930s glamour back into the 21st century.
Daniel Muhor, General Manager of the Primus Hotel Sydney, says a hand-picked team of master craftsman worked tirelessly to bring the Art Deco icon back to life. Judging from the pictures, all that effort was worth it!
The hotel now features 172 guest rooms and suites, a glamorous 1930s-styled lobby, rooftop bar and swimming pool, and adjoining restaurant. The Wilmot is a 120-seat restaurant specialising in European cuisine with an Asian twist.
The New York style rooftop pool is exclusively for the use of hotel guests. The hotel also provides free Wi-Fi, 24hr in-room dining, Nespresso coffee in each room, and amenities by organic Australian skin care brand Appelles.
