Elements of Byron now open

After six years of careful planning, design and development, the brand new Elements of Byron resort has officially swung its doors open to the public.

The highly anticipated resort held a private sneak peek opening at the start of the week, and it sounds as though everything went off without a hitch.

Elements of Byron General Manager Leon Pink says the soft opening has helped the staff to feel confident and ready for guests.

“Being privately owned by a couple who are passionate about the site, let alone the resort crafted within it, helps a lot” he says. “Nothing was compromised. I’ve never really experienced another similar situation”.

Stage one of the $100 million resort includes 94 villas, each tastefully furnished in a dunal, rainforest, wetlands and eucalypt theme.

Three main pavilions, designed to reflect the sand dunes to the north-east of the resort, house most of the leisure and conference facilities.

A leisure area with lagoon infinity pool, sunken fire pits and hanging pool chairs weaves throughout the resort’s centre, tying all the elements together.

Open now at Elements of Byron are Graze, Drift Bar, Osprey Spa, Barefoot Bar and Kiosk, fire pit, gym, and a conference wing catering to 450 delegates.

Staggered to open over the next few months are Mixed Dozen signature restaurant and a private Beach Club opening to the sands of Belongil Beach.
