“We wanted to elevate everything,” says Christian Iacovella, @berkeleyriverlodge’s new Executive Chef. “The experience, the presentation, the techniques — but still make it feel connected to the landscape.” Based on the amazing food we had during our stay, I’d say: mission accomplished. The Italian degustation inspired by Christian’s family recipes was probably my favorite (the focaccia with tomato olive oil was incredible, and dishes only ramped up from there). WA produce is now prioritized across the whole menu, including the drinks, with native ingredients also featured. #hosted #instatravel #travelgram #instafood #repeattraveller
Sunset barbeque. These two little words are loaded with more than just the promise of flame-grilled deliciousness at @berkeleyriverlodge. There’s also four wheel driving — trundling along the empty beach, stopping to view Indigenous artefacts like spear tips and grinding stones scattered amid the shifting dunes, and enjoying a glass of bubbles and snacks as the sun dips below the horizon. It’s one of the new experiences added this season. #berkeleyriverlodge #thekimberley #westernaustralia #hosted
I consider myself an occasional hiker. I enjoy it whenever I venture out, but you’re more likely to find me taking in the view from the carpark lookout than trekking up a mountain or trudging down into the depths of a valley. There’s no such luxury here — you either hike or miss out. So, I dusted off my proper hiking boots (for probably the first time in a decade) and set out, one carefully placed foot after another. Very glad I did — the unmarked trail to Casuarina Falls was spectacularly beautiful, weaving through spinifex grass and acacia trees, past ripple rocks and shell middens, and culminating in an epic view from the top of the falls. It’s one of the included experiences at @berkeleyriverlodge. Keep an eye out for my feature coming soon at executivetraveller.com #hosted
Dawn from the pool deck at @berkeleyriverlodge. We had a small Anzac service just before this. I’ve attended many dawn services over the years, but never somewhere like this. Tour guide ‘Robbo’ shared history of our brave armed forces and emergency services, and in a moment of perfect timing, the sun burst across the horizon the very second the Last Post began. Speechless. #berkeleyriverlodge #thekimberley #westernaustralia #repeattraveller #hosted
Some fresh photos from my stay at the reimagined @berkeleyriverlodge — in Western Australia’s wild Kimberley. I feel incredibly privileged to not only have visited but to spend time getting to know the people behind it. The strength and resilience they’ve shown to come back as strong as they have after the devastation of Cyclone Fina in November last year is remarkable. There are a many, many more photos to come… #berkeleyriverlodge #westernaustralia #thekimberley #repeattraveller #hosted
Joining the queue of travellers waiting for a photo at the start (or finish, depending on which direction you travel) of Route 66 on Santa Monica Pier. This legendary tourism route through eight states celebrates 100 years in 2026. #santamonica #route66 #travelgram #travelstoke #repeattraveller
Just watched ‘Crime 101’ on Netflix and spotted the Beverly Wilshire — aka the Pretty Woman hotel. Figured it was a good excuse for a throwback to my stay in May 2024. What a stunner. It’s hard to believe it was almost two years ago. #beverlyhills #beverlywilshire #instatravel #instatraveling #repeattraveller
Getting into the Sydney Mardi Gras spirit with @lifesaverswithpride; showing the beach and surf life saving is for everyone. It was a joy to match with reps from @slsaustralia @slsnsw @lifesavingqld @surflifesa and @sls_nt #mysurflife #surflifesaving #lifesaverswithpride #brunswickslsc
What do wildebeest and travel media have in common? They both have great annual migrations. The travel one took place this week, with 400+ writers, editors, PRs and more descending en masse on Sydney for the @travmedia Summit and International Media Marketplace (IMM). Yesterday was the Summit — held in the so-Frenchy-so-chic surrounds of @sofitelsydney. We followed that up today with IMM at the ICC. As always, it was THE event to discuss all things travel, as well as catch up with friends I only get to see once a year. Now, it’s time to write. Look forward to 2027. #travmedia #astw_inc #travelwriter #repeattraveller
Did you know there’s a three-day winter festival celebrating a cryogenically frozen man? It’s called ‘Frozen Dead Guy Days’ and transforms the town of Estes Park in Colorado into a quirky (if slightly morbid) escape featuring coffin races, live music and a polar plunge. Weird, but also kind of amazing.

That’s one of many fun facts revealed at today’s @astw_inc lunch sponsored by @visitcolorado and @delta. Held at The Eveleigh by The Grounds, the lunch was a cheat sheet for the best of Colorado, from downtown Denver to Aspen Snowmass, Steamboat, Vail and more. It was great to hear all about the state’s 150th birthday this year, and also catch up with friends in town for @travmedia’s IMM.

Big thank you to Colorado Tourism Office, Delta Air Lines, Visit Estes Park, Visit Denver, Aspen Snowmass, Alterra Mountain Company, Vail Resorts and the incredible team at Linkd Tourism.

Country halls have long been the heart of rural communities. Last night I joined friends @cagladstone and @heatherjet at the monthly South Gundurimba Hall dance — around 10 minutes south of Lismore, NSW — for a beautiful reminder of how vital these halls are for human connection, health and happiness. I was the youngest in attendance, but was welcomed with open arms, with people only too happy to strike up a chat. The joy, romance and wholesomeness of it all was infectious, and it’s so heart-warming to see this local tradition continue. My mum (in the cream pants and top) even got up for a Gypsy Tap. #lismore #northernrivers #community #astw_inc
Fun attending the launch of @lifesaverswithpride’s new Proud Lifesaver Series at @tamaramaslsc last night. There’s a 6-minute super cut and shorter snippets to roll out soon. Simon and I chat about our experience in surf life saving, how diversity makes our clubs stronger, and what it means to be a proud lifesaver. #lifesaverswithpride #prideinsport #surflifesaving #mysurflife #repeattraveller
