Graceland Goes Virtual With New Series of Guided Tours

For millennia people have been drawn to sites of cultural significance. Pilgrims from far and wide have travelled to learn, to give thanks, and to pay respect to someone or some thing that has touched their life. Graceland, the home of Elvis Presley, is one such site.

While physical visits to the King’s former home are on hold for us Aussies for the time being (those in the US can still visit though), the digital shift has given us a way to still experience it. Graceland has gone virtual, with a new series of guided tours delving into artefacts and stories of Elvis. The first round of tours was a sellout from people in over 20 countries, prompting new tours and dates.

The three new virtual tour options will each be two hours in length, offering a behind-the-ropes look at various parts of the Graceland campus such as the Mansion, the Lisa Marie jet, Elvis Presley’s Memphis entertainment and exhibit complex, and the top-secret Archives facility, where personal items not on display to the public are stored.

Hosted by Angie Marchese, Vice President of Graceland Archives and Exhibits, and one of the world’s foremost experts on all-things Elvis Presley, the artefacts featured and stories told will vary from tour to tour making each experience unique, and viewers will have the opportunity to ask Angie questions throughout the event.

Tickets are priced from USD $98.50 per person and are on sale now at Graceland.com
